Stars over N Wales.

21st September 2011, Wednesday evening, 10pm. a cold and clear night, just as i was returning home from a meeting, i looked up to the night sky to see hundreds and hundreds of stars in the night sky,
even with all the light polution we have i could see lots of stars,  mmmmm,

Time to grab the camera and head off up the road to Moel Fammau, a local beauty spot.
Great views toward Ruthin in one direction and over to Liverpool in the opposite direction.
Here are some views toward Ruthin.

Photos By Phillip M Jones  of Michael Elizabeth Images.
As you can see, now thousands of stars, the orange glow is from the streetlights of the nearest towns.
Exposure lengths vary from 50 secs to 2 minutes, you can see some movement from the stars,
I think in one shot that there is a trail of intermittent plane tail lights as it made its way across the sky.

It was quite cold up there, even in September, with a strong wind blowing, numbing on the fingers.
